The government of the Province of Buenos Aires, based on its Strategic Security Plan, has been carrying out different initiatives, whose objective is the progressive reduction of crime, using different methods and tools.It is in this sense that an application for mobile devices has been developed, with the aim of providing citizens with a tool that allows them to report criminal acts without the need to approach a police or judicial agency.This tool will inform:• Criminal acts of theft / robbery type.• Criminal acts related to illegal drug trafficking.• Criminal acts linked to the poor performance of the police function.• Acts of family violence and gender violence.• Criminal acts related to illegal gambling or gambling.To report such security incidents, the citizen must enter as appropriate to the type of crime:• Personal data (not in all cases).• Fact data• Characteristics of the event• And others.The system will record the reported incident, and will grant the citizen a tracking code that will allow them to verify its receipt at the corresponding prosecutors office.
It will also provide information to the complainant about said agency so that he can approach it, and continue with the formal process if the situation warrants it.
